Shawdesh Desk: A motorcyclist was killed after a truck hit his motorcycle in Asad Gate area of the capital on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Qauder, 42, hailing from Daudkandiupazila of Cumilla.

Zobyer Hossain, younger brother of the deceased, said that the truck hit the motorcycle from behind carrying his brother in Asad Gate area at 12:00 am, leaving him injured.
Later, the injured was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), but he succumbed to his injuries around 3:00.

Confirming the news, Hafizur Rahman, sub-inspector of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, said, “The body of victim has been kept at the hospital’s morgue for an autopsy,” adding that: “Police seized the killer truck but its driver managed to flee the scene immediately after the accident.”
